The Philippines celebrates Independence Day (Araw ng Kalayaan, also known as Araw ng Kasarinlan) on June 12, commemorating the Philippine Declaration of Independence from Spain on June 12, 1898. Since 1962, it has been the country's National Day.
I'm proud to have celebrated it yesterday at ViewPark Hotel in Tagaytay for the soft launch of Siglo Modern Filipino (View Park's restaurant).
