Nora sent me a lot of links about Reo Brothers. She wanted me to see how good these band perform the songs of Beatles. It took me many months to click one of the many videos she wanted me to see. And because she wanted to watch the Reo Brothers perform live for a long time, I contacted Primos Cusine and Lounge to book four seats.
Nora, as always, was the first to arrive at the venue. I was the last to arrive because honestly I'm not interested to see Reo Brothers. I'm just doing this for Nora who was there when I needed someone to comfort me in one of my most unhappy moments in life, I am for life indebted to this prim and proper woman.
Outside the venue, I saw four young men, one of them was holding a guitar. I asked if they're the Reo Bothers. Photo of followed and a short interview with the four young men before I went in the venue and meet Nora, Lyn and Brooke.
The REO Brothers Band is composed of four young men, siblings — Reno (drums), Ralph (bass), RJ (lead guitar) and Raymart (rhythm guitar) Otic.
They were originally from Leyte but were displaced from Tacloban when super typhoon Yolanda hit last November 2013. They moved in with a relative from Quezon City and was given a chance to start a new life with the help of Rannie Raymundo (owner of Primos Cusine and Lounge). The Reo Brothers performs at Primos every Tuesday.
Last December 2013, Reo Brothers debuted in a fundraiser organized by ABS-CBN. Last March 11, 2014, they were part PinoyRelief Benefit Concert in US. The star-studded concert raised funds for Tacloban. Performers include Jennifer Hudson, Jessica Sanchez and Charice. Apl de Ap and recent Oscar awardee (composer) Robert Lopez.
The siblings said,"di po namin maisip na ito ay mangyayari sa amin" (it's not something we expected to happen for us).
What can I say? After hearing The Reo Brothers perform, Nora was right all along - they're good!

I've never joined or supported any band in the past, now at 40, I'm proud to be a part of REOTICS (Official Supporting Group Of REO BROTHERS BAND)!
