TeleTech's 17th Site in Araneta Center

I've always wanted to see a call center office. I finally got to do that last November 28, 2014 at TeleTech's 17th site in Gateway Tower, Araneta Center, Quezon City.  The new location is highly accessible with several modes of transport availble in and around Araneta Center's 35-hectare commercial are with the addition of TeleTech-Araneta to the company's list of delivery centers, TeleTech is staying true to its commitment of bringing jobs closer to as many Filipino ad possible.

As an advocate of breastfeeding, I applaud Teletech for providing a lactation room! I quit the corporate world in 2003 because I chose to stay home and take care of my twin kids. With Teletech's lactation room, nursing moms can comfortably save their breast milk for they even have mini ref. And the purple couch is so comfortable for moms who'd like to give the best milk for their babies while they continue to work outside of home.

Although high tech, Teletech's Grab and Go canteen reminds me of that honesty store in Batanes,   where you there's no seller any more. All you have to do is get what you want or need, and pay.

TeleTech was founded in 1982, it is a leading global providet of analytics-driven, technology-enabled customer experience solutions. The Company offers an integrated platform that combines consulting. technology, care and growth services to simply and personalize interactions that build deep engagement between people and brands.

TeleTech Araneta is currently hiring at least 100 new employees to fill customer setvice and business support roles. New hires will join pioneer programs, gain access to TeleTech's comprehensive pay and benefits package, and immerse in a corporate culture invested in personal development. New hires this season can qualify to win 100,000 worth of prizes from Abenson's  Appliances, if hired by December 31,  2014. For those interested to apply at TeleTech, they may visit www.TeleTechJobs.com or email Hotjob@TeleTech.com with an updated resume. Applicants may also apply personally by walking in a 15/F Getway Towe,mAraneta Center.

Bohol Fair at Glorietta Mall

I haven't been to Bohol but I'm looking forward to visit this enchanting place next year. Bohol province is dubbed as the eco-cultural tourism capital with its fascinating  Chocolate Hills, pristine and white sand beaches in Panglao and  Anda.  It is also home to the well-loved Tarsier, considered the smallest and oldest primate in the world. Aside from the iconic destinations, the province is surrounded by caves, tranquil rivers, fascinating water falls, marine sanctuaries, mangroves and diving sites.

If you haven't seen Bohol like me,  there will be Bohol Fair at Glorietta Mall on Dec. 8-10. The travel fair will launch its new and exciting tourist destinations with rock bottom prices for airfares, hotels and resorts. Bohol's new branding “Behold...BOHOL,”  will also be formally launched to position the province as a destination that exudes a sense of awe in every visitor.

The three-day event is the first time ever that tourism sector in Bohol comes together in a massive campaign to entice tourists to visit. It is part of the Bohol Tourism Action Plan developed through the collaboration of the United States Agency for International Development through its Advancing Philippine Competitiveness Project (USAID-COMPETE), the Department of Tourism (DOT), the United Nations-World Tourism Organization (UN-WTO), and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) as well as local tourism stakeholders.

At least 50% discount in accommodation, tours and other travel essentials in Bohol will be offered during the three-day travel fair.  Boholano products will likewise be on sale. The travel fair will open in a grand program featuring the world-famous Loboc Children’s Choir. The chorale group will have a nightly concert during the three-day event.

Christmas means Kris Kringle, and Kris Kringle means gift bringer. In the Philippines, Kris Kringle is synonymous to exchange gift where each participants are asked to give something blue, something round, something slimy or whatever the theme is. Normally, a certain amount is set for the gifts to be bought. As a mom of three, it's difficult to find an item at less than a 100. Well, not anymore, for I learned about Daiso Japan's  Kris Kringle Corner where items starts at just P88! My Big Bossing's Adventures

It was a night of fun and laughter at My Big Bossing's Adventures' Bloggers Night at Guilly's Tomas Morato.  Although the leading ladies were not able to make it, the presence of Vic Sotto, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Nino Mulach, Director Marlon Rivera, and the super cute and bibo Alonzo Mulach was more than enough to fill the night.

My Big Bossing's Adventures is M-Zet and Octo Arts films official entries to the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival due to open on Christmas Day 2014.

The film is divided into three stories, namely  Sirena, Taktak and Prinsesa. Big Bossing's Adventures main characters are Vic Sotto and Ryzza Mae.

Sirena is directed by Tony Reyes, starring Pauleen Luna, Wally Bayola.

Prinsesa is directed by Joyce Bernal, starring Nikki Gil, Alonzo Muhlach, Zoren Legaspi, Nino Muhlach, Maricar De Rosa, Sef Cadayona, Rafa Siguion Reyna, Ruby Rodriguez, James "Bimby" Yap, James Yap

Taktak is directed by Marlon Rivera, starring Marian Rivera, Jose Manalo, and Paolo Ballesteros.

My Big Bossing's Adventures will definitely be the top grosser this year because the movie is not just for children, the old folks will like the stories as well. Oh, Toni Gonzaga has a special participation in the movie.

Brunch at IL Ponticello

I’ve been turning down food reviews of late because I’m preparing for summer.  An invite  that includes my children is an exemption to the Project Sexy rule (wink, wink!). The invitation from Spanky Enriquez to try out brunch at IL Ponticello’s, with create-your-own-pizza for the kids, gave me an amnesia to stay away from food.

We actually almost didn't make it at IL Ponticello because John has Lego Collector Fair Meet-up and Rafael has basketball match with Ateneo. Plus, I didn't get to sleep the night before. But Julia and Juan were looking forward to making their own pizzas.

The entrance to IL Ponticello is not the usual door from the ground floor. I had to asked the guard thrice if that really is the way.  We were told to climb the stairs to the second floor. Juancho even said, "oh, it's creepy". But as soon as I pushed the door and saw the interiors, we were transported to a nice place! The beautiful interior is designed by one of the owners, Imee Magdaraog.

We were warmly greeted, and seated immediately by Steve (the owner).

Wine for me and juices for Julia and Juan  were served as soon as we were settled.

Bring your kids, 12 and below, at IL Ponticello.  Brunchissimo can't get any more fun with Create-Your-Own-Pizza for on;y P250!  Every Saturday brunch 10am-3pm.

Juancho finished his pizza because from his own words, "I made it the way I want it".

Imagine paying only P1,250 nett for this Tuscan Brunch Feast!

This homemade dry cured pancetta arrotalata with poached eggs and
rosti potatoes filled me til the next day

  Truffled cheese and mushroom frittata

You get to choose 3 from their Tuscan brunch dessert selection. Julia and Juan both chose bestseller Cheesecake Caramel Panna Cotta. While I got their other bestseller - Tiramisu.

The whole IL Ponticello experience was a good one,
adding to that was the presence of co-blogger Joy Felizardo and her daughter.

Infracyte Luscious Lips Review

$

I always get this comment from make-up artists, "oh, you have such small lips!". I used to be very happy hearing that when I was younger. But in this age where Angelina Jolie-Pitt's lips is so popular, I can't help but wonder if I'd look good having plump lips.

Infracyte Luscious Lips is available at Dermatology clinics at Php1,250. It comes in 3 variants, 321 Are you Red-dy?, 328 Pinkalicious and 327 Showstopper.

I suffer from dry and cracked lips especially during December so Infracyte Luscious Lips is useful not only for plumping and glossing my lips. It actually has anti-aging, moisturizing and healing benefits.

What I like about Infracyte Luscious Lips: It doesn't give that burning sensation after application, unlike other brands.

What I don't like: I'm now addicted, can't go out without without applying Infracyte Luscious Lips (wink!wink!).

Infracyte Luscious Lips arrived just in time for Kimbra's Meet and Greet and Vic Sotto's My Big Bossing Prescon.  I tried it for a younger, sexier and plumped lips instantly.

Unique Spin on the Italian Classic at Lucia Ristorante

Italian cooking is among the world's richest and most varied, with dishes from pasta, pizza, tossed salad, wine and much more that are perfect for every occasion.  For Italian food lovers, you have to try a unique spin on the Italian classic at Lucia Ristorante.

I've tried Lucia's cuisine three times already. Although the way they present their Italian cuisine is quite simple, I like that they use quality ingredients, as evident in its delizioso menu.

Last week, as we spent family staycation at Hotel Celeste, we've tasted one of the best Italian food there is in the Metro.

Lucia Ristorante is run by new management (Cravings Group of Co.). With a vibrant new menu, Lucia is a must visit for the whole family.

Executive Lunch Menu:
Insalata Mista is great way to start a meal.
Lolo roso, onion, tomatoes tossed with salt and pepper and their very own balsamic vinaigrette.

Seafood ravioli is a lasagne with squid and shrimp and herbs filling.

For the kids, Lasagne with ground beef pomodoro sauce, bechamel cream on top and mushroom cream sauce. Plus, Breaded chicken on the side with a special sauce house gravy by Chef Andrew.

Dessert is a mini cake platter composed of their bestseller from Cravings, namely Chocolate Caramel Cake, Dulce de Leche and Carrot cake.

Executive Dinner Menu

First Course:
Carpaccio di manzo sedano e grande or beef carpccio with lemon and olive oil for appetizer. On the side, roasted eggplant in pomodoro sauce top with mozarella and parmesan cheese, and Nepolettana pizza in tomato sauce, mozarella and fresh basil.

Second Course:
Taglietelle Alla Carbonara (homemade fresh Taglietelle with panceta), Lasagne Della Casa Con Crema Di Porcini (homemade fresh lasagne with bolognese ragu porcini sauce), and Taglierini Tartufati (homemade fresh Taglierini with mushroom and black truffles)

Third Course:
Orata All Ortolana (roasted white fish fillet with mix vegetable in pesto cream sauce)

Tiramisu and Pannacotta Del Piemonte

For the kids, Spaghetti Meatballs and Nepolettana Pizza

Lemon Iced Tea and Vanilla Ice Cream with Hershey's Chocolate Syrup

Aside from the great tasting Italian food, I find Lucia's table setting refreshing.

All For the Love of Lego

Libis is one place my husband does not like much for he finds it too crowded. Yesterday we stormed the traffic very early to make it to Lego Warehouse Sale, which is at Topy Building, in Libis! Yes, sometimes we need to do things we don't enjoy just because of love. John visited Libis all for the love of Lego!

We lined up for hours! I thought I was going to collapse because we didn't get to have lunch, plus it was hot where the line started.

The exact venue of the warehouse sale is at the second floor but the line was up til the fourth floor!

Made friends with Mommy Theresa Cruz-Escaros and her baby Jacob.

John shared stories with Lego addicts, err, collectors like him.

When you get to this part, you can almost feel those bricks hugging you.

 Finally nakaupo din!!!

We got in around 330pm.

We've already picked items for Christmas gifts but the line to the cashier was so long.

We left around 430 with nothing.

This Lego Warehouse Sale is until December 14, 2014. Just a few reminders:

1.  Be there very, very, very early!
2. If you can leave the kids at home, do so. It's a bit hot at the waiting area.
3. Bring water and food because the canteen is far from the selling area.
4. Tag along a companion so one gets to line up for payment while the other still chooses items. Then change places.
5. Most of the Star Wars that John was eyeing were all sold out early. Not all items are at 50% and 60% off. Popular characters are sold at 20% only. Most of the items we saw are Chima, Duplo, Friends.

A Splendid Retreat at Hotel Celeste

John and I celebrate all important family occasions on the day itself. We knew early on that we would not be able to throw a big party for the twins 12th birthday because December 8 fell on a Monday, a school day. The twins have been accustomed visiting hotels and resorts since they were babies so  the best option is to bring them to a new place.

Last December 6, we were on a journey not far from where we live. Destination: Hotel Celeste.

Hotel Celeste is a 3-star boutique hotel conveniently located in the heart of Makati.

Courteous Frontliners assisted us

Family picture before heading to our room

We stayed at Isabela Room 307, one of the five suites. Each Suite was named after famous French Queens to add up the spice of royalty experience. Other suites are Eleonor Room 210, Catherine Room 309, Marie Antoinette Room 407 and Blanche Room 409 with 40-48 sq. m.

Rate for a Suite Room is P9,699/nett, with breakfast for two, welcome drinks and complimentary foot massage.

Welcome drinks and fruit platter.

Each room offers a separate living room area, a bedchamber, a dining area, a kitchen and a large marble tiled bathroom with stand alone bath tubs.

I love the touch of Christmas on this lamp.

Juancho doesn't sleep on his own room but when he saw this huge couch,
he told his Dad to sleep beside me (lol).

This king size bed could fit us all! The feather pillows made it more comfortable for John to sleep.

Work area where I finished posts.

Where I'm most happy, the Bath Area!

Hotel Celeste uses only L’Occitane bath items.

A complimentary foot massage for two is given to all guests. John was sound asleep as soon as we settled our bags, so Juancho and I enyoyed the relaxing massage.

I don't sleep much at night, so it was great that Hotel Celeste have DVD Collection to entertain an owl like me.

My husband is not fond of Makati. He finds the place too crowded, busy and noisy so we do not stay in a hotel in this area. Well, in the middle of our stay in Hotel Celeste, he already concluded that he like the place. He was able to sleep well while the kids and I enjoyed our Christmas shopping.  He didn't have to worry if we will be able to go home easily because the malls are just few meters away from the hotel. Plus, John has a keen eye for interior design, so he found Hotel Celeste a lovely place to stay in. In his own words, my husband said, "They executed the interiors very well.  The staff are warm and certainly know their jobs".

The kids enjoyed the fast wi-fi, the food, the bed and everything else. As for me, the place we visit is a sure winner if my husband and children enjoy their stay. And because John, Julia, Juan and Rafael were happy, I must say we had a splendid retreat at Hotel Celeste!

Enjoy your staycation at Hotel Celeste without spending too much. Complete the homey experience by dining at Lucia Ristorante and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine.

I know how it feels like to wait for your dream house. My family, specially the kids, cannot contain their happiness when we told them we will be moving to our new house. Well, the excitement waned as soon as the construction started and took longer than promised and expected. To cut the long story short, our house was finished 3 months late from the due date.

Yesterday I got to learn about ALUFORM PRE-FAB CONSTRUCTION & CONSULTANCY. Aluform  is a construction firm that builds prefabricated homes.

Pre-fabricated or pre-fab is already being used in mid-rise and high-rise condominiums in the Philippines and  is widely used in different countries worldwide but not every Pinoy knows about it.

Learning about the number of benefits of pre-fab over the traditional construction, such as time, quality and cost, hmmm, I'm considering on building a rest house in Antipolo via ALUFORM PRE-FAB. We'll see...

Prototype of pre-fab house: 135 square meters, two-storey house built  in just 60 days.
The total cost: 3.5 million pesos.

Aluform currently offers two designs for pre-fabricated homes: Country and Zen.
This prototype is country design.

We went at Lego Warehouse Sale on its first day last Wednesday. We were able to get in, unfortunately we weren't able to buy anything. Naubos agad ang mga Star Wars Imperial Tie Fighter that John wants to get.

We went back earlier today, VERY EARLY, hoping to get  the above mentioned Lego. From number 79 and 80 last time, we're number 34 and 35 this time! Konti pa pila, yehey!!!

Made friends with fellow parents, Maverick and Cherielyn Lim, with their daughter Chantal.

John chatted with Sir Randy Ordoveza, who's buying Duplo for his grandson.

One happy collector!

Here are some of the items on sale:

Christmas Toys and Collectible Fair 2014

I'm always just a photographer and a nanny during Toy Fair. Not that I'm complaining. I actually love seeing my husband and children enjoying themselves while searching for their collection. Earlier today at Christmas Toys and Collectible Fair 2014 in Mega Trade Hall, I enjoyed the whole day because I found something that I really like!

Wait, no it's not the minion that made me happy, it's BICO's jewelries! BICO is a global brand, offering unique pewter pendants, bracelets, chain necklaces available in a variety of styles, sizes, and selections.  Their tribal inspired designs that is great for an urban culture define what I like in jewelries.

Visit BICO's Booth, fronting the entrance and meet the lovely Nikki. She'll assist you and tell you more about their products from Australia.

I also joined the auction, I won the bidding over Lego Hobbit and the legendary Spawn. The proceeds will benefit PGH Cancer patients.

She won the bid for this pink toy for her daughter.

Books, books, books! Our house is like a library already because of his vast collection of Novel books, comics, etc...

The Mendiolables went home with smiles on their faces.
One more day to go. See you at Christmas Toys and Collectible Fair 2014!!!

Mesotherapy with Dr. Michelle Villegas-Sison

I've tried doing ab exercise to eliminate the unsightly bulge in my mid section but to no avail. The lose skin from my two pregnancies left the skin sagging badly! I heard about mesotherapy and read more about it to check if its for me or not.  After months of consideration of the pros and cons, I finally said yes to Mesotheraphy with Dr. Villegas-Sison last September 9, 2014.

This photo was taken on my 6th session with Dr. Sison.
See photos below to see how my tummy looks like before mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy was first introduced in 1952 by a French doctor named Dr. Michel Pistor. Mesotherapy (from Greek mesos, "middle", and therapy from Greek therapeia, "to treat medically"). It is a non-surgical cosmetic medicine treatment that involves injecting microscopic quantities of natural extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceuticals. Mesotherapy uses injections to rejuvenate skin eliminate fatty deposits and treat unsightly cellulite. These injections are filled with various combinations of medications, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

First session, September 9, 2014
Measurement: 33-35-36

Forgot to take photos of the second session - September 17, 2014:
 Measurement: 32.5- 34 -36

Third Session, September 23, 2014
Measurement: 33-35-36

Fourth Session, September 30, 2014
Measurement: 30-33-34.5

Fifth Session, October 8, 2014
Measurement: 30.5-33-35

I got tired taking photos from 7th to the 10th session but this is the record of my measurements .

Weight from 126.5 lbs to 119.5 lbs.
Measurement from 33-35-36 to 28.8-32-34

My verdict:
Mesotherapy is effective as my measurement before and after the procedure suggested, but you must not rely everything on it. You also have to exercise and eat properly. Cost per session is way affordable at P2,500. This procedure is around P5,000 and up per session in other derma clinics.

What you will not like:

I've mentioned injection more than three times,
so if you're afraid of needles, this procedure is not for you.
I have high tolerance for pain, so I didn't mind the injection.

What I like:
I had a great time exchanging parenting stories, as well as worries, with Dr. Michelle, who happens to have 3 children just like me. Each and every visit in her clinic feels like I'm just visiting an old friend. Dr. Michelle is one happy doctor, bubbly and full of life. Visit her at her clinic:

Master Hanz Cua - The Youngest Feng Shui Master in Asia

I've always been fascinated with Feng Shui so I wait each year for forecast from Feng Shui experts. Earlier today at Lombardi's at Edsa Shangri-La Mall, I met Master Hanz Cua, the youngest Feng Shui Master in Asia. I've watched Master Hanz Cua  at television shows, such as Umagang Kay Ganda, Unang Hirit, Rated K and Mars, to name a few. I like that he always emphasize to viewers and his clients that Feng Shui helps to guide and enhance people's luck but prosperity and success still rely on working hard and prayers is also  a powerful tool.

Master Hanz Cua's father greatly influenced him in his practice because he is also a practicing Feng Shui. Master Hanz was already a pyschic even when he was a child. He can read people through their faces and through his third eye. He trained in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Burma and Thailand to develop his skills in Tarot Reading, Astrology, and Zi Wei Dou Shu (Emperor Purple Star Astrology).

It was one whole day of fun as Alaska Crema Team visited radio stations and publications in Metro Manila. Alaska Crema Choir rendered Christmas songs and delicious creamy treats were given right after caroling. This is Alaska's way of saying thank you for a wonderful partnership with the media industry this 2014.
